Cancel Your Registration
If you will not be able to test within your assigned eligibility period, you will need to withdraw your registration prior to the end of your eligibility period.
During the withdrawal process, you will have two options:
- Withdraw from your current exam and receive a refund, less the withdrawal fee listed below.
- Register for another exam date. You can withdraw from one exam and re-register for another exam date in one step. Please note that this option is for NPTE® exams only.

Please note that a 1.6% processing fee, rounded up to the next dollar, will apply.
Precautions
If you already have an exam appointment scheduled, you should first cancel your appointment with Prometric and then complete this exam withdrawal process.
All withdrawal requests must be made before the eligibility period on your “Authorization to Test” letter expires.

During this process, you will be asked to select a method of payment. You may pay by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover online.
